For the first poster I found I really liked the contrast because this element stuck out. The colors were a combination of Bloomsburg colors along with Halloween colors. This poster was directed towards a Halloween costume contest at Bloomsburg so the color theme fit the objective. The important information that was supposed to be known was bolded for example, Oct. 31, the date of the event. The repetitiveness on this poster would be something I would change for my own. I do not like how all the information is small and on the right hand side. My eye automatically goes toward the picture and I seem to not focus on the key details they want you too. The alignment of this poster is really good. All the information is on the right hand side and it is all spaced properly. Lastly, I really like how the information was grouped together. The time, place and day were all grouped together while the prizes were all grouped together as well.
I really like the use of the boxes on this poster. It shows a good use of contrast and at the same a good use of repetition. I really like how the shaping of the boxes is the same and repetitive throughout the whole poster. I also really like how not only are there pictures but there’s text and it is spread throughout. That is something I want to do on my poster. It is a good use of alignment. Everything in each box lines up and each picture box matches with a writing box.
I really like the contrast of this poster. There are three different boxes all containing different items but the fact that all the information is contained throughout the boxes is the similarity of the poster. The important information is in all caps and is in a bigger font. I like the use of repetition within the boxes. This is something I would consider doing with my project. I would make it different however by not putting all the information in one box, I would divide it between the three possibly. This poster has probably my least favorite alignment of the three. I do not like how everything is centered. I prefer it to all line up. This poster has good proximity though by simply having all the important information closely together.
I chose to create a flyer for students. This flyer is directed towards high school seniors trying to convince them that Bloomsburg University is a great place to attend. My goal was to show the findings I received that for the most part being an instate student or an out of state student only affects your college experience if you let it. They both have the same opportunities, it is what you do with them.
